GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Please limit formatting (colors, animation, backgrounds)
  • If you want the reply to an email address other than the one you are sending the message from, please provide the email address at the BEGINNING of your message.
  • Please include all previous messages with your reply.
  • We do not open attachments for security reasons.
  • Please DO NOT include the following information in your message:
    Social Security Number, Driver License number, Credit Card number
    (Email does not have the security features that our other online services have.)
  • Personalized Plates take approximately 12 weeks.

VEHICLE QUESTIONS

When sending your message, please enter your last name and license plate number as the subject. For example: Johnson / ABC123  See the instructions below to notify DMV that you have sold your vehicle.

Please include:

  • License plate number, serial number (VIN) or registration renewal number (RRN)
    Please do not use any spaces in the number. Example: Enter ABC 123 as ABC123
  • Name of vehicle owner
  • Current mailing and residence address
  • Brief description of what is needed
  • Send a message
  • We do not open attachments for security reasons.

Report Sale of Vehicle to DMV.  Please include:

  • License plate number, serial number (VIN) or registration renewal number (RRN)
    Please do not use any spaces in the number. Example: Enter ABC 123 as ABC123
  • Name of vehicle owner
  • Name of buyer or buyers (individual, business or dealership) that the vehicle was sold, traded or given to.
  • Mailing address of the buyer.
  • Date of sale
  • Send a message

DRIVER LICENSE QUESTIONS

Please include:

NOTE: Please allow one to two business days for a reply to a motor vehicle question. For Driver License questions, please allow one week for a reply.  E-mail is answered Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding State Holidays.
