The best times to visit a DMV office are mid-month, mid-week and mid-morning. The busiest times are the beginning/end of the month, before/after a Holiday weekend, Mondays and Friday afternoon.

OFFICE HOURS: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

ROAD TESTS: (Appointment Required, Schedule Online)
  • Non-commercial passenger vehicle: Daily. Morning and afternoon.
  • Motorcycle: Daily.  May through September. Weather permitting.
  • Commercial: Daily. Morning and afternoon.
KNOWLEDGE TESTS
  • Must start non-commercial test by 4:15.
  • Must start commercial test(s) by 3:30
  • Tests must be completed by closing time to be issued a permit or license.
VEHICLE INSPECTIONS:  Available from 8:30 to 3:30.
