Driver Services
This component is responsible for compiling and maintaining driver records which are used for insurance, court, and law enforcement purposes; administering the driver improvement program which takes action against habitual traffic violators; administering the financial responsibility and mandatory insurance laws which provide protection for victims involved in accidents with uninsured motorists; conducting administrative reviews of license actions under the "driving under the influence" laws; maintaining insurance files on all commercial vehicles; and processing applications for licenses received by mail.
