Emission Inspections and Waiver Information

As of March 1, 2012 an emission inspection(I/M) is not required to register a vehicle in Alaska.

Effective March 1st, 2012, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) discontinued the MOA program.

Effective January 1st, 2010, the EPA and the Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) discontinued the FNSB program.

 

Season Waivers:

Vehicles that have a current Seasonal Tab do not require new tabs until the next regular registration period.
